Ateneo ends La Salle's reign
After two frustrating years, Ateneo finally found ways to beat La Salle in the 2016 LaSalle-Ateneo Golf Classic recently at the Canlubang Golf and Country Club.
In the final count, the Blue Eagles edged the Green Archers by a whopping 35 points, 80-45. While La Salle took some Class A of the Decades, Ateneo ran away with the Ladies division and most of Class B and C in all the Decades.
The event, which attracted a turn out of 312 alumni from both schools, saw the golfers from Katipunan end their Taft Avenue rival's quest for a three-year sweep.

In the final count the Blue Eagles beat the Green Archers by a Whopping 35 points, 80-45. While LaSalle took some Class A of the Decades, Ateneo ran away with the Ladies division and most of Class Band C in all the Decades.
The event which attracted 312 alumni from both Schools, saw the golfers from Katipunan end their Taft Avenue rival's quest for a three-year sweep dating back to 2014.
The Classic Cup, first held in 1984, is a dual meet between alumni golfers from both schools.
